Eduction. Experience. Results

Yoga Medicine is a thorough, anatomically based training system created by Tiffany Cruikshank that trains teachers all over the world to work more powerfully with their students.

Yoga Medicine is a community of teachers who excel in their training and their ability to understand the body from an eastern & western perspective to work more effectively with other healthcare practitioners. Our community of teachers are trained in eastern & western modalities to effectively work with healthcare practitioners of many types so that they can understand the student better and apply the practice to the individual.

We believe the best healthcare requires teamwork and multifaceted approaches to wellness from different vantage points. We believe yoga is a powerful tool for so many issues and an essential adjunct to a health and wellness team, however it isn’t a cure-all and our job isn’t to diagnose or be a one-stop shop. Yoga teachers are not medical providers, though some of our teachers also have medical licenses. We believe wholeheartedly in the power of this practice to foster awareness, empowerment and resilience. We believe the best care requires a great team working together to create impactful outcomes.

Our job first and foremost, is to be of service to and support the medical systems and the hard working medical providers by supporting them and their patients along their journey to health.

Yoga Medicine is not a style of yoga but rather a training that educates the teacher to understand the body and create individualized yoga programs for the student based on their understanding of the body & the practice of yoga. Our teachers are committed to continued education, setting the bar for exceptional knowledge & teaching.

Yoga Medicine’s mission is to create a community of teachers that excel in their depth of knowledge to provide yoga as a tool to the international community of healthcare providers, patients & students. Our vision is to create global awareness around the ability to use yoga as an adjunct to the healthcare system.

Reviews

As part of the Yoga Alliance Social Credentialing system, teachers that register with Yoga Alliance must submit a review of the RYS training program they completed.

Feedback from trainees provides Registered Yoga Schools with the opportunity to understand their trainees’ experiences in order to continually improve their trainings.

By choosing to display comments, schools enable trainees to provide insight into a school’s culture and training which helps potential trainees choose the right teacher training for their individual path with yoga.

Amazing program for Therapeutic Yoga with Yoga Medicine. High quality content and learning materials. Instructors are there to answer questions and support you along your journey, proving you with the tools you need to excel with your clients. Material is current and applicable across multiple modalities. I am so thankful that I came across Yoga Medicine, I know that I have received instruction that sets the standard.

The information was in-depth and wonderful. However, I felt mislead after signing up for the teacher training. Though they sold the 300 YTT as a "bundle" I had to pay for additional trainings to complete before I obtained the required hours. Additionally, after completing these additional hours, I was asked to wait for a group call, that they did not have currently scheduled or knew when they were going to schedule. After adamantly demanding a workaround, they certified me. However, for me to keep the "Yoga Medicine's Yoga Therapeutics Specialist" label, I'd have to complete a lengthly training yearly. This created an uncomfortable experience and made me want to stay away from this community, one that I was looking forward to developing. Full Review

The program was well organized and provided a robust curriculum of what yoga is from an eastern and western perspective. I feel confident to start my yoga teacher journey! Thank you, Yoga Medicine! Full Review
