Seasonal Yoga was created in 1995 by Julie Hanson and Sue Woodd as an antidote to the stress and anxiety of modern life. It combines Yoga, Tai Chi, Qigong and Traditional Chinese Medicine concepts of seasonality, with a modern understanding of body movement and wellbeing practices. The pair were later joined by Marit Akintewe and formed the Seasonal Yoga Teacher Training Course in 2010.

Seasonal yoga have now trained over 2000 yoga teachers around the world and Seasonal Yoga classes continue to be a popular choice for students and teachers a like, with many reporting the life changing effect the practices have had on their life and energy.

Seasonal Yoga Teachers are spread worldwide and there are now 5 locations in the U.K and Europe where you can train to teach Seasonal Yoga as well as a blended online course that can be studied from anywhere in the world.

For those looking to deepen their knowledge of seasonal yoga further, we run a series of advanced teacher trainings including Seasonal Yin and Seasonal Yang.

We also offer a Seasonal Yoga Conversion course, for any qualified 200hr Yoga Teachers, looking to qualify as a Seasonal Yoga teacher.

Reviews

As part of the Yoga Alliance Social Credentialing system, teachers that register with Yoga Alliance must submit a review of the RYS training program they completed.

Feedback from trainees provides Registered Yoga Schools with the opportunity to understand their trainees’ experiences in order to continually improve their trainings.

By choosing to display comments, schools enable trainees to provide insight into a school’s culture and training which helps potential trainees choose the right teacher training for their individual path with yoga.

A comprehensive, amazing teacher training which is extremely well rounded and taught with the highest level of professionalism. Would recommend to anyone wanting a deep and broad understanding of yoga, its cultural and historic roots, breath work, meditation and anatomy.

Sue Woodd is an oracle of yogic knowledge and an incredible instructor with an in-depth understanding of yoga and Traditional Chinese Medicine and Meridian lines. Her team of instructors are second to none and I felt honoured to be learning from them. The philosophy behind yoga, along with excellent teachings of asanas, meditation, and pranayama along with the holistic and energetic understanding of the body was wonderful and I was so grateful to have been able to study here.
