The Sonia Sumar Method - Yoga for all Abilities®, LLC is a comprehensive Program of Yoga techniques designed to enhance the natural development of children and adults with disabilities. Our style of Yoga is gentle and beneficial - safe for babies, toddlers, children, teens and adults with Down SyndromeCerebral Palsy, Microcephaly, Autism and other developmental disabilities. These methods also provide an effective help for children with Attention Deficit DisorderADHD and Learning Disabilities.

Our Program includes:
  • An integrated series of balanced Yoga poses to increase body awareness, strength and 
  • Specialized breathing exercises and relaxation techniques to improve concentration and 
  • An early intervention program to assure the healthy formative development of infants and toddlers
The Sonia Sumar Method - Yoga for all Abilities®, LLC training Programs offer a unique learning environment for children and their parents, special education teachers, Yoga teachers and health care professionals. Courses are taught by internationally renowned Yoga Teacher and author Sonia Sumar, whose innovative teaching methods have been improving the lives of children with special needs for over 50 years.

As part of the Yoga Alliance Social Credentialing system, teachers that register with Yoga Alliance must submit a review of the RYS training program they completed.

Feedback from trainees provides Registered Yoga Schools with the opportunity to understand their trainees’ experiences in order to continually improve their trainings.

By choosing to display comments, schools enable trainees to provide insight into a school’s culture and training which helps potential trainees choose the right teacher training for their individual path with yoga.
