The 8 Limbs Yoga Centers community of yoga teachers and practitioners is a creative and inspiring environment in which to explore the concepts of yoga instruction and support the unfolding of your own Sat Guru, or inner teacher. Our instructors are committed to growth and to sharing the transformative practice of yoga through their teaching. It is in the spirit of 8 Limbs Yoga Centers - a dedication to the study and sharing of the discipline of yoga - that we have created the 8 Limbs Teacher Training Program, now licensed as a vocational school by the state of Washington.

Our 200-hour Teacher Training, which qualifies participants for certification as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) through Yoga Alliance, is offered as a school-year Grounded Wisdom Training from September through May.

The 8 Limbs 500-hour Teacher Training takes 200-hour Certified Yoga Teachers (by 8 Limbs or other Yoga Alliance-recognized School) to the 500-level with 300 hours of study with both Local and Visiting Senior-level Teachers.

Visit our website for other special trainings we host, which include Trauma-Informed Yoga, Healing Yoga for Cancer, Mindfulness Meditation, and Yoga Nidra trainings.

Reviews

As part of the Yoga Alliance Social Credentialing system, teachers that register with Yoga Alliance must submit a review of the RYS training program they completed.

Feedback from trainees provides Registered Yoga Schools with the opportunity to understand their trainees’ experiences in order to continually improve their trainings.

By choosing to display comments, schools enable trainees to provide insight into a school’s culture and training which helps potential trainees choose the right teacher training for their individual path with yoga.

8 Limbs offers fantastic 200 and 300 hour programs. I particularly appreciated when 8 Limbs partnered with other organizations. Highlights for me were RW Alves's Collective Resilience Trauma Informed Yoga, Dr. Domonick Wegesin's Mindful Based Stress Reduction, Chiara's NVC, Claudette's restoratives, and Melina's Business Empowerment. The past three years studying with the 8 Limbs practitioners has been a privilege. I have grown deeply both professionally and personally. In fact, at age 50, and for the first time in my life, I would describe myself as being grounded. That is priceless, and I credit my mentors at 8 Limbs.

I am truly thankful to be part of 8 Limbs. Their teachers are amazing, the program was just what my schedule needed and I feel like a better teacher from all that I have learned.

I completed both my 200 hour and 300 hour trainings at 8 Limbs Yoga Centers. My 200 hour training was quite a while ago but was excellent. I just completed my 300 hour training. Because of the pandemic, my training was protracted and 8 Limbs was very accommodating. I definitely recommend anyone looking for a 200 hour or 300 hour school to consider 8 Limbs Yoga Centers. When looking at a 300 hour program, make sure to check the available classes and see that they fit your interests and will provide you with the classes you need within your time frame.

The teacher training program at 8 Limbs is a well rounded program taught by experienced instructors with a wealth of knowledge. With instructors whose specialities vary across a multitude of areas, whom are also passionate about their personal practice, and heavily invested in the growth of their students, 8 Limbs Yoga Center's Grounded Wisdom Teacher Training is an ideal space for any future teacher, practitioner, or curios soul to be nurtured as they grow!
