Reviews

As part of the Yoga Alliance Social Credentialing system, teachers that register with Yoga Alliance must submit a review of the RYS training program they completed.

Feedback from trainees provides Registered Yoga Schools with the opportunity to understand their trainees’ experiences in order to continually improve their trainings.

By choosing to display comments, schools enable trainees to provide insight into a school’s culture and training which helps potential trainees choose the right teacher training for their individual path with yoga.

Professional, knowledgable and extremely thorough whilst at the same time ensuring our enjoyment of the experience. CYS could not have done more to equip me with the skills needed to continue my journey. I remain a member of their school and Janet and Emma will forever be my teachers. They are both a credit to their profession .

The course was fantastic. It was well structured with brilliant additional support from an experienced Radiographer who delivered the anatomy sections. And an experienced philosophy yoga teacher/ studio owner who delivered the Philosophy sections. Everything I hoped would be covered by my YTT training was delivered by The Yoga Studio Carlisle. I couldn't be happier with my choice to train with them. The way Janet and Emma overcame the obstacles presented by covid-19 to allow the course to continue on the designated dates was just amazing. They did a brilliant job going above and beyond as we all felt very safe and well looked after. I started the course feeling very under prepared to teach yoga. But by the end, I am now filled with immense self belief as their knowledge and teachings has prepared me so well to go out on my own to teach Functional Hatha Yoga in a safe and accessible way. And knowing that I have the ability to continue to maintain contact with my teachers for further support or to expand my knowledge in the future is very reassuring.

I have been attending The Yoga Studio Carlisle for four years now under the teachings of both Janet and Emma, so to be taught by them both to become a yoga teacher myself was a true honour. They are both extremely passionate about their individual chosen styles of yoga and of the principals of both asana and of the philosophies that support them. The studio is so welcoming with both teachers working extremely hard, both while teaching and behind the scenes, in order to make sure we were fully catered for. The guest teachers Gail (anatomy) and Ruth (philosophy) are both experts in their field and carefully selected in order to share their vast knowledge with us. Both were extremely engaging, especially when teaching some of the more complex subject matters and made the learning experience interactive and extremely comprehensive. The structure of the course was well thought out and both thoroughly enjoyable and challenging in equal measure. These challenges simply pushed me to work as hard as i possibly could to gain the best experience and allow myself to be the best teacher possible within my capabilities. Being able to work with real students through the course was an absolute gift, one of which i’m sure does not happen with many other teacher training courses. Putting our new skills to the test while in a safe and controlled environment is something that i will forever be thankful for, the experience this provided was utterly invaluable. I will be forever grateful for the kind and thoughtful teachings of the entire staff of this course and was blessed to have shared it with some wonderful wonderful peers. Thank you Janet and Emma, your generosity will be forever appreciated, i wouldn’t have wanted to share this journey with anyone else! Cannot recommend highly enough!!
