As part of the Yoga Alliance Social Credentialing system, teachers that register with Yoga Alliance must submit a review of the RYS training program they completed.

Feedback from trainees provides Registered Yoga Schools with the opportunity to understand their trainees’ experiences in order to continually improve their trainings.

By choosing to display comments, schools enable trainees to provide insight into a school’s culture and training which helps potential trainees choose the right teacher training for their individual path with yoga.

I have completed My 200 hr, Yoga Nidra, Advanced Yoga Nidra, Body Psychology and 300 hr training at AmritYoga Institute, as well as worked as a mentor or assistant teacher in 5 YTT. The institute has incredible teachers and effective methods for teaching. It in an inclusive and supportive enviornment. And learning from an internationally recognized Yoga master, Sri Sri Yogi Amrit Desai, a living lineage of teaching, is beyond compare to anything else I have personally experienced. Not only did my studies change my life in a profound way, I feel in love with Yoga and learned how to live yoga off of my mat. I appreciate the teaching , training and support that I received at the AmritYoga Institute.

The Yoga Teacher Training at the Amrit Yoga Institute was excellent. I feel well-prepared to teach a yoga class and appreciated the supportive environment.

I was looking for a yoga school that would train yoga teachers in the classical Indian yoga tradition with all of its rich spiritual depth. Amrit Yoga Institute provided this training above and beyond my expectations. My primary instructors, Lauren Nirali McCrea and Elizabeth Olson (Anatomy & Physiology) are passionate, knowledgeable and relatable. Their love for their craft inspired me and my fellow classmates. I was exposed to the teaching styles of a variety of female and male instructors which is a valuable experience. The traditional yoga philosophy was conveyed in the yoga sessions, curriculum, talks by Amrit and Kamini Desai and in the extensive training manual and books which I keep handy for ready reference. I found especially beneficial the topics of trauma-informed teaching, integrating themes in a class, modifications to asanas/assists, chair yoga, and a comprehensive survey of the body in the anatomy classes. The 200-hour training was quite demanding, requiring weekly personal practice, group practice, instructing a partner in the asanas, lectures, reading, videos, palpations, and weekly journal reflections. One of the unofficial mottos of the program from Kamini Desai is "be total, not perfect" meaning give your practice/studies/instructing your all and accept your current limitations. The sense of community among students that developed over three months was wonderful. I highly recommend this yoga school to anyone who is looking for a) instructors who are excited about and exude what they teach and b) a curriculum that is comprehensive and steeped in a living yogic tradition.

A wonderful training that fully explained that the depths of yoga is much more than simply practicing breath-work and physical asanas. It is living the spiritual teachings of yoga and creating your yoga practice and life to be a process of meditation in motion. This is such a special yoga school as it was started by Gurudev Amrit Desai and he really went into depth about the ancient yogic spiritual teachings and how they relate to all aspects of life. The sequence taught in the beginner level 200 hour training is a phenomenal sequence. Would highly recommend them to everyone!

The Amrit Yoga Institute I AM Yoga Training programs are remarkable. Everything about how I interact with life, including my approach to teaching, has changed in the most positive ways. My experience was so great that I am continuing into the I AM Yoga Therapy program!
