Yoga is about connection, unity, and oneness. This workshop will address how yoga can act as a movement for change and evolution, and how the practice of yoga can give us the tools to stand for justice for all beings.
Hala Khouri, E-RYT 200, RYT 500, YACEP, is a co-founder of Off the Mat, Into the World and works with A Thousand Joys. Hala currently lives in Venice, CA where she teaches public yoga classes weekly.
Dr. Chelsea Jackson Roberts is an E-RYT 200, RCYT. She seeks to understand the ways power and privilege impact race, class and gender. Her research focuses on Black teen yoga practitioners who use yoga as mediums for critical literacy development.
