Big Win for Michigan Yogis! House Passage of SB 818, Now on to the Governor's Desk!

We are pleased to share breaking news about Michigan Senate Bill 818! Today the Michigan House passed this legislation − which would exempt yoga teacher training programs from state vocational training regulations − by an overwhelming vote of 92-17! This development follows the Michigan Senate’s passage of the bill by a vote of 35-0 on April 13. Now that this bill, championed by Yoga Alliance, has been approved by both chambers of the Michigan Legislature, it will head to the Governor’s desk for his signature to become a law!

Yoga Alliance is proud to have joined the Michigan yoga community on this critical effort.
