A Victory for Illinois Yogis! Our YTT Bill Is Law!
Last Updated: December 9, 2016
We are pleased to share some exciting news – Governor Rauner signed Senate Bill 2743 into law late Friday afternoon. Thank you to the Yoga Alliance® community for your strong grassroots support and leadership on this bill. This law means that YTT programs will no longer be bound by regulation as vocational schools by the Illinois Board of Higher Education (IBHE) beginning January 1, 2017.
We are grateful to the lawmakers who supported this legislation and to Governor Rauner for signing it into law!
