The various yoga communities around the globe are incredibly expansive in their philosophies, practices, methods and cares. At Yoga Alliance, we believe we are better for that diversity, especially when we come together in yoga to channel our collective energy together for the greater good.

It order to better understand the perspectives of yoga communities we serve, our new leadership team has been soliciting feedback, listening keenly, and gratefully receiving constructive recommendations from interested members and non-members alike for the past year. In addition to accepting direct comments via our surveys, e-mails, phones and social media channels, we have also been on the road meeting yoga teachers, thought leaders and students face to face. Stops so far include:

Rishikesh, India;
Dallas, Texas;
Sedona, AZ;
New York City, NY;
Yoga Service Conference, Rhinebeck NY;
Himalayan Institute, PA;
Yogaville, VA

This month, we will be at SoulFest NYC, in Denver, CO, and the Accessible Yoga Conference in Toronto, Ontario, to learn more.

And later this summer, our President & CEO David Lipsius and COO Shannon Roche are embarking on a journey across the U.S. to personally share with you the ways in which the organization is changing to better serve the yoga community and to request your guidance and feedback.
